The “psssst… read the book” snark was said with love, of course (I certainly can’t claim to have read every title here). We’ve worked as a team and built on each others’ experiences reading these different titles to help create the cage match scenarios.
If anything, putting this together has made all of us want to dive into stories that we haven’t read yet. Are there any series that the cage match has inspired you to read?
I’m a chapter and a half from finishing A Feast for Crows so I am shopping for a new book to read and these cage matches has definitely given me a lot of good ideas. I’m not really interested in getting into a long series so Wheel of Time is out but a 6 or 7 book series might not be bad. The Earthsea or Dark Tower books are probably what I would consider. I’d also like to read “The Name of the Wind” as Kvothe seems like a pretty cool cat and I am interested in getting into incomplete series so i have stuff to read further on down the line. (waiting for Dance with Dragons)
All in all, despite some flaws in the actual fights, it’s been really informative and fun. I like getting to know the characters and, for some, getting to know the authors as well. Thanks for putting it all together.
Just an FYI on your edited to add note: The final score between Aslan and Kvothe was Aslan 45% and Kvothe 54%. Unless you meant that in your post up there with wanting Aslan to win. Kudos on the results, you guys do an awesome job! Can’t wait for the semi finals and final!
