Dumbledore apparates to a vast meadow with mountains in the distance and not a soul to be seen…. Though he believes the foe he is seeking no longer has a soul. He is no novice when it comes to traveling to other realms. It’s just a hop, skip, and a very long jump, after which his head tingles a bit. A few sips of pumpkin juice will help. Coming to Krynn to battle Raistlin Majere was a necessity, though, since inviting him to enter the realm of Earth would be a serious danger to muggles and the wizarding world alike… not to mention the worrisome prospect of Majere teaming up with Voldemort.
He sees a spot in the sky, as Raistlin Majere swoops in on a very large, green dragon. The beast lowers it’s head to the ground and Raistlin climbs down and walks towards the wizard. The dragon flies off.
“I respect you for your power,” says Raistlin to Dumbledore, “but you are no match for one who has been tested in the Tower and survived. I defeated Fistandantilus. I can defeat you.”
“Perhaps. Grindelwald wasn’t exactly a pushover, and I did fairly well in my N.E.W.T.s, I must say. But we will see.” He pauses for a moment. “I do wish to return to Hogwarts as soon as possible, though. I left a cup of hot cocoa to cool a bit, and I’d rather it not get cold.”
“As you wish, wizard,” and Raistlin whispers kalith karan, tobanis-kar, causing a magic missile to fly from the Staff of Magius towards Dumbledore. But Dumbledore is no longer where he was. Using his ability to make himself invisible, he slips away from the missile and reappears further uphill. Raistlin uses the moment to speak the complicated spell, and bolts of lightening flash from his staff to strike the old man. Dumbledore is jolted fifty feet in the air, but a quick “levicorpus” spell allows him to float down.
Dumbledore, spinning his wand in circles, summons the power of the wind around him, creating a dark tornado that appears over the ridge and swallows Raistlin. His black robes tearing and debris slamming his frail body, Raistlin is thrown to the ground as Dumbledore yells Petrificus totalus! But Raistlin deflects the spell, though the powerful whallop knocks the staff from his hands.
Raistlin pulls out an orb and begins to speak to it, summoning Cyan Bloodbane back to his defense.
“Cheating will not be tolerated,” says Dumbledore, as his expelliarmus spell sends the orb flying from Raistlin’s hands. Majere crawls towards his lost staff as Dumbledore attempts to cast a slow spell, but Albus has no idea that Raistlin–a master of past and present–is immune to such a spell. Raistlin recognizes the spell and fakes the effects while quickly casting a mirage spell. Dumbledore sees movement out of the corner of his eye, and there on the field is Harry Potter, a knife held to his throat by a lizard-like man. In the instant of Dumbledore’s worry over his “chosen one,” Raistlin stands and screams his incantation, hurling a fireball at the illusion of Harry. Dumbledore launches himself towards the fireball and takes the direct blow to save the boy who lived… and Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore’s ashes fall to the ground.
Predicted Winner: Raistlin Majere
(Raistlin is a character from Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman’s (and Wizard of the Coast’s) Dragonlance series; Albus Dumbledore is a character from JK Rowling’s Harry Potter series,)

Raistlin every time. All the reasons have already been stated. Raistlin defeated a goddess and became the most powerful being in the universe.
And if that wasn’t enough (that would be enough), he would be utterly ruthless. We’re talking about someone who willingly sacrificed his own twin brother for power.
For those people who are confused about when this battle would take place. I think we have to assume that both characters would be at the height of their powers. Also, in the proposed storyline, Raistlin can call upon Cyan Bloodbane, which would mean that he was at least close to full power.
Raistlin.
“I’m a bit disappointed that “spells per day” even came up here in these comments. Where has Raistlin ever been completely stymied by such a tabletop mechanic?”
like i mentioned before, i’m in the middle of reading dragons of winter night right now. in what i read last night, raistlin just cast the last spell he had prepared for the day. they’re trapped in the cellar of an inn and raistlin used last spell to protect his party but is too exhausted to cast anymore spells. additionally, the books seem to keep repeating the mechanic (and the curse of having to memorize spells every morning) so that the reader understands the limitations.
Raistlin becomes a lot different than how he was in the Chronicles trilogy. And he was pretty damn impressive then!
These kinds of arguments just don’t have much sence, now do they? I’m reffering to the ‘Raistlin defeated a goddess and became the most powerful being in the universe’ kind. This is just uncomparable to anything Dumbledore did or could have done. It’s like saying that Dumbledore is apsolutely the winner because he became the headmaster at Hogwarts and was the most powerful wizard(and thus being) in the world – and that is something Raistlin could never accomplish, since he didn’t exsist in that world and never went to Hogwarts (get my drift? lol).
We are attempting to compare here characters that are barely comparable, being from other worlds and stories (and still probably the most comparable of all other fighting couples), but since we must compare them we can logically do it only on the basis of their virtues and skill(s). Who is smarter, faster, wiser, stronger, knows more spells, what kind of spells etc.
Not “Raistlin defeated a goddess, Dumbledore didn’t, end of story”.
Well yeah, of course. That’s the nature of this debate. Comparing characters from different ‘universes’ is always going to involve stretching the imagination isnt it.
All we can do is work with what we have. Raistlin’s ‘CV’ is far more impressive than Dumbledore’s when compared side by side. Add to that Raistlin’s far more vicious nature and for me there’s only one winner.
Personally speaking, I would be very surprised if anyone who had read the Dragonlance books AND the Harry Potter books chose Dumbledore to beat Raistlin.
But hey, if your opinion is different, all good.
The way i see this bout is much similar to how it goes down in the Harry Potter series with Raistlin sharing many of the same qualities as Voldemort, endless ambition, jealousy and his inability to love. We all know how it went down between Dumbley and Voldemort so i gave my vote to Raistlin. This is just my take on the battle and i know that Voldemort never killed Dumbledore in combat but i don’t think Dumbledore has the heart to kill one of his students / someone who he pitied as much as Voldemort.
I’m liking the arguments here in this battle more so than the other match ups. I’m a Raistlin fan, so naturally I stick up for him, but the Potter fans are making good arguments for Dumbles.
Another way I think of these two squaring off, I personally would rate Dumbledore, if he was in the world of Krynn, as someone slightly better than Par-Salian, the top White wizard of Krynn and “Headmaster” of the Tower of High Sorcery. Raistlin had no trouble beating Par-Salian at the end. Dumbledore would put up a better fight, but the end would be the same…(hey the picture above shows Raist in his Black Robes, so he is already taken the step to become Master of Past and Present at which time he becomes too powerful for anyone left on Krynn to challenge him)
And like I said before, it wouldn’t take Raistlin 2 days to do it…
I believe Dumbledore would win.
I grew up reading Dragonlance, and I am as much a fan of our hour-glass eyed mage as anyone. The thing is, I don’t see this as a question of strength of magic. I think Raistlin’s “weakness” in this fight is that while he’s terribly empty, he isn’t truly evil. Dumbledore is extremely insightful, and he would be able to see past Raistlin’s hunger for power and convince our mage that he shouldn’t _want_ to win. We see that this the choice Raistlin ultimately makes, in Weis and Hickman’s books. So, I say, Raistlin would surrender willingly. One point for Albus.
Why in the world are you going to take the fact that Raistlin defeats gods out of the equation?
Should we take out the fact dumblore is a teacher out of his portfolio? Makes no sense. You should be comparing the two at the height of their powers…
Because the “Raistlin killing Thakisis” never happened. Not in this reality, because it was erased by time travel afterwards. If Raistlin had killed Thaksisis, she could not have been, sorry SPOILER, being killed by Silvanoshei at the end of the war of the souls.
It would be just as logic to say: Dumbledore wins, because Raistlin cannot come – as he is dead. Oh, but wait, Dumbledore is dead, too. Mmmh… two dead men fighting each other, who wins?
So I also support those who say: Let’s please base this fight on skills, characteristics and magical abilities. And NOT on facts like “X killed a god. End of story.” That’s lame.
“and what do you base THAT conclusion on?? you’ve already witnessed them or some other wizards of the two universes duking it out?”
No, I’ve just observed how magic seems to work in both settings. Potterverse magic is pretty small-bore stuff for the most part. It’s personal, utility magic. Magical duels are flashy, but small-scale; in terms of the actual firepower being slung around, the most feared and terrible spell in the Potterverse just shoots a beam of lethal green light at somebody, at dodgeable speed. It’s a glorified Desert Eagle.
Magic on Krynn is earthshaking. Raistlin can summon ancient dragons and bend them to his will (Potterverse wizards can barely manage to subdue a dragon physically, let alone enslave it). The dragonarmies levitated entire castles and used them as mobile siege platforms. When the spell to open the Portal went awry, it wiped out two whole armies who were battling on the plains outside. Raistlin’s battle with Takhisis laid waste to literally the entire planet.
That doesn’t necessarily mean Raistlin is guaranteed to win this duel, of course. A man with his finger on the button of a nuclear weapon can easily lose to a man with a Desert Eagle, if the latter is standing in front of him. But I still think Raistlin has the advantage.
(I don’t, however, believe Raistlin’s “ruthlessness” will give him an edge here. Voldemort was utterly ruthless; if he’d ever had any feeling for anyone else, it was long gone by the time he started his reign of terror. Raistlin still has a spark of humanity left. Dumbledore would surely feel great compassion for Raistlin, but I doubt that would impede his spellcasting.)
“Because the “Raistlin killing Thakisis” never happened. Not in this reality, because it was erased by time travel afterwards.”
That’s not the point. The point is that Raistlin was powerful enough to kill a god, as evidenced by the fact that, in one timeline, he did exactly that. Whether that timeline was later erased is irrelevant.
aw come on, it’s Dumbledore, he can’t lose to some character no one has ever even heard of
Dumbledore has a soft spot for young, tormented mages. Raistlin on the other hand has proven he has no qualms about sucking ancient wizards dry. Ruthlessness prevails over sentiment, so this goes to Raistlin.
“The point is that Raistlin was powerful enough to kill a god, as evidenced by the fact that, in one timeline, he did exactly that. Whether that timeline was later erased is irrelevant.”
If you have read the story, you know very well that his power grew stronger after penetrating the Abyss, partly because of the power Crysania gave him, partly apparently because every victory made him stronger. The pre-Abyss Raistlin was not yet a God or had godlike powers, and Weis/Hickman made this perfectly clear:
“Though the most powerful mage living upon Krynn, Raistlin’s power was far from complete, and no one realized that
more than the mage himself. He was always forcibly reminded of his weaknesses when he came into this room – one reason he avoided it, if possible. For here were the visible, outward symbols of his failures – the Live Ones.”
I also might remind you that Thakisis kept Raistlin as captive in the Abyss, tormenting him. If he really had attained the power of a God all by himself, he easily could have prevented that. But without Crysania, he did not have that power. That was the whole point of the sacrifice he made.
so basically what this comes down to is ‘protagonist’, whose great achievements and powers we know all about vs. ’side character’ whose abilities and achievements we’ve only scraped in the six years we knew him through harry.
and the comment about utility magic is just stupid. might you remember what peter pettigrew did when he ‘vanished’ before sirius black? what we know is utility magic we’ve learned through the eyes of an emo 17 year-old, just school magic of the universe (plus some of the more (in)famous tricks), but it’s dumb to assume that that’s all there is to potteruniverse magic
and as for dubmly having to prepare/memorize HIS spells, he already knows them all by heart (100+ years of practice), so no problem there.
Raistlin would mop the floor with old Stumblebore. Dumbledore is a teacher. He is powerful, he is wise, but he is first and foremost a teacher.
His opponent in this case is an ambitious and powerful killer with not just one but three different lifetimes worth of experience to draw upon. Remember when they found the plague village? Raistlin obliterated it all to ash with lightning in a matter of moments without so much as bead of sweat.
Dumbledore on the other hand, has difficulty beating a man with a lame anagram for a name, despite being more powerful and more intelligent. Yes, he can occasionally make a big fireball, but he doesn’t make it look easy.
A lot of people also overlook artifacts. In Dumbledore’s world, everything is magical. So it’s possible some of his wardrobe would be useful or even deadly. At the same time, such trinkets have never stopped Raistlin before.
I haven’t read Dragonlance but by the comments I read, I gather it’s a DnD setting which means that Raistlin actually has to speak/chant his spells. Dumbledore can cast one silencio and Raistlin can’t do shit anymore.
On the other hand there’s contingency, I sure hope Dumbledore knows Breach
Only caster that could stand toe to toe with Raistlin in Pug/Milamber. Raistlin crushes DUMBledore.

—————————————
What are you….12?
Wow I must be getting old. I grew up on Dragonlance stories. Raistlin Majere was one of the more interesting characters of that series. If you get the chance pick up a copy of Dragonlance Chronicles and Legends. Raistlin really shines there. PS I like Harry Potter too but I’m pulling for Raistlin in this match.
even if you overlook the godkilling aspects of raist, he is a expirienced as a battle mage, he will come to this battle with enough defensive spells to survive a nuclear blast. he has shown he can cast without material, he can probaly use other metamagic stuff, including quickspell and silent spell. oh, and did i mention DRAGONS?!
Never heard of Raistlin!
But hey, that’s part of what I like about these Cage Matches–exposing readers to new characters.
Do yourself a favor and read the Chronicles and Legends trilogies from the Dragonlance Series. If you aren’t convinced that Raistlin is worthy of this list, then I will eat a cupcake.
Granted, I realize that’s not much of an incentive for you…
Okay, as much as i’d hat to say this, but… The only reason Raistlin won against Takhiss, his because he lured her out of the abyss and into Krynn, forcing her to take a corporeal body. In the few moments it took her to materialize, she was as vulnerable as a newborn child. (one without some cheapo love magic cast by her mother, leaving a lightning scar on her forehead)
Rastlin, then basically annihilated takhiss, and took up her mantle, then went around and killed her kids, other gods of Darkness and took their powers, too. He then went toe-to-toe with the gods of Light and Neutrality, and wiped them out, too. Yes, he killed gods, but he cheated like Bill Clinton to do it.
(Dumbledore isn’t much better though, the Elder Wand? That’s the only reason he was able to stay alive through all those duels in his 128 years.)
Hands down—Raist wins. He and Dumbledore do have one thing—Dumbledore is old, even though he’s magical and stuff—so that makes Raist’s weakness according to his broken body something a little bit more easily ignorable.
Now, lets look at all that he’s done. For one thing, he’s defeated practically everyone. He destroyed Fistandantilus, and that battle has no way for Dumbledore to even pull out a victory. Raist has gone backward and forward in time, survived the greatest war to ever happen, defeated a goddess, and then came back and SAVED THE UNIVERSE. Even though he’s a bad guy!
Now, I’m not saying bad things about Dumbledore. I love Dumbledore. However, if we’re going with the later books version, his magic has been sapped by the horcrux. He does have Fawkes and many years as a duelist, but he’s too soft-hearted. He would be too busy trying to protect other people than to defeat Raistlin.
My verdict: Raist wins. Hands down. It’s an epic battle, but Raist would completely own Dumbledore.
See, I don’t know here. I voted for Dumbledore, but more because I almost don’t see this being a magic duel, but more of a chess game or a Socratic-style debate, with both characters posing questions to one another in an increasingly difficult manner, all about magic and the nature of magic. In the end of that, even with all three lifetimes of experience, I could see Dumbledore winning.
The reason why, you ask? Because Dumbledore studied constantly, he learned more constantly, and he was a damned tricky, deceptive old bastard. No matter how deep they went into the subject, he would be able to rationalize the answer. And if it were chess? Dumbledore was obviously a master at planning ahead, he planned his own death over a year in advance.
Continuing my argument—sure, technically Raistlin didn’t actually defeat a god. We all know about the changing of the timeline at the end of the Twins trilogy to make it so that Raist didn’t actually defeat a god, but still—he went to the Abyss, spent thirty or so odd years being killed a different horrible way each day, then came back to life, saved the world and everyone’s butts, and did that without his powers!
Hands down. Raistlin. And, I mean, if we want to get totally to the bottom of the issue here, it comes down to morals. Dumbledore has morals. He’s a good guy. Raistlin doesn’t have morals. And Dumbledore uses other people to do his dirty work—Raist doesn’t (except for Crysania, but only because he needed someone on the side of light). Think on it.
On the morals vs. non-morals argument: that’s a bit silly. Yes, Dumbledore has morals… but let’s face it, he does at least a couple of horrific things because of (not in spite of) his morals.
SPOILER ALERT
Why doesn’t Dumbledore take out Voldemort as soon as he appears? Because he realizes it will be counterproductive until all the horcruxes are taken out. This means that he is partly responsible for Voldemort’s second rise to power, because he realizes that unless it’s allowed to go as far as it does Voldemort will come back again, and again… He allows Harry’s life to revolve around being a living horcrux, in order to get him to die in the end (yes, giving him a chance to recover at that point, but what were the odds that it was going to work out right, really?)
I’m fond of Raistlin, and anti-heroes in general, but just a lack of morals doesn’t give you much of an edge in this kind of fight.
Like I said before, of course, peak-of-power Raistlin wins against practically anybody… but that’s probably why he got retconned. Level 30 in D&D is amusing for a bit, but coming up with good enemies for all-powerful main characters tends to stretch the fabric of the fiction a little too far. You’ll never see a book with Aslan or Cthulu as the main character, and the Dune books with an almost-omniscient-and-omnipotent Paul are kind of boring. This is why I prefer the young version of Raistlin, personally.
Yeah, Right.
Richard Harris played Dumbledore. Richard FUCKING Harris!
The fight’s over before it even begins. Say it with me, “Richard FUCKING Harris!”
English Bob with a wand? Raistlin’s toast.
I feel that I have to point out that Dumbledore is NOT the most powerful wizard in his world. If that were the case he would be able to beat Voldemort’s himself without all the bullshit of Harry & the Order & all that. If he were this ultimate, powerful uber-wizard with super debate & persuasion abilities that some of these comments claim he has he could dispatch the Death Eaters one be one on his own (or convince them to join his side) but he cant. Raistlin on the other hand HAS proven he is the most powerful.
Raistlin: You have pretty eyes.
Albus: Really?
Raistlin: ::FWOOSH::
Yet he [APD] is the only one he [TR/V] ever feared.
Being the greatest does not mean being able to wave a wand and make everyone else irrelevant. You have to bring a little more nuance to these questions.
Has everybody forgotten about Rastlin’s staff, the famed Staff of Magius, that protects its wielder, without said wielder having to do anything?
Nyeh, Dumbledore has a hundred years on Majere. Also, by being a physically strong old guy with a beard, he comes closer to the ideal of badass wizardry set by the rough-and-ready Gandalf the Grey, hallowed be his name (before he transformed into Gandalf the White and got all boring).
So speaks my inner thirteen-year-old. So shall I vote. Dumby for the win!
I’m as big a fan of HP as the next guy but come on, there is absolutely no way that Dumbledore would stand a shadow of a chance against Raistlin Majere. We are talking two vastly different scales of power, deviousness and motivation here.
It can be argued that Raistlin could potentially take every being in this contest – he is a time traveling god killer.
Also – his health issues were self chosen, and resolved completely.
Have you ever fcking read the series?
The reason he couldn’t defeat Voldemort was because of the Horocruxes. Duh. C’mon.
*facepalm*
Anyways, on the topic of Dumbledore’s persuasion, he convinced one of Voldemort’s top Death Eaters, Snape, to join his side. He also convinced Snape to kill him, despite the fact Snape obviously loves him like a good friend.
As for Raistlin, as others have said, he tricked his way into beating the Dark Goddess. People gave him powers. He’s not even fcking strong on his own, people help him throughout the series. On that same note, why didn’t he do everything on his own?
And that’s why, in the narrative above, Raistlin *tricks* Dumbledore into hurling himself into a fireball.
I find it quite convincing.
Why didn’t Raistlin do everything on his own? Because as we read each of these series of books, The DL Chronicles/Legends basically tells the story of Raistlins RISE to power from nearly the beginning. The Potter books already have Dumbledore an established Wizard who is the headmaster of the school that Harry, the main character, is centered around. We never actually read about Dumbledores adventures when he was a student or wizard fresh out of Hogwarts. How do we know he never gets help from anyone?
Yah, Raistlin recieves help in critical times from interventions from Fistandantilus, but as his power grows, he overcomes that and eventually beat Fist on his own (and absorbs his essence/powers) As for this whole “he cheated in beating the Dark Queen” How? He figured out a way to make her vulnerable, which was bringing her mortal body into Krynn AFTER he battled her in the Abyss for a long time and held his own long enough. He knows he cannot beat a god or goddess in their own realms, so he knows he has to lure her back into Krynn. It was the plan all along. When Takhisis is in Krynn full bodied avatar, she is still a very powerful being, just mortal instead of immortal. That was Raistlins “trick”. If she was like a newborn baby as Somebot suggested above, then Caramon or Tasslehoff or anyone could have killed her during her arrival. In fact it was Raistlins battle of her and subsequent battles with the other gods that wiped out almost all of life on Krynn during the alt timeline that Caramon and Tas witness. Dumbledore, no matter how powerful he was in Potters world, never accomplished anything on that scale in all his “wonderful 128 years of life”
“Has everybody forgotten about Rastlin’s staff, the famed Staff of Magius, that protects its wielder, without said wielder having to do anything?”
Yeah yeah. And Dumbledore has the Elder Wand. *yawn*
C’mon Dumby, just a few more votes. I don’t want everybody I wanted to pass lose this round by
what I really wrote but something went wrong with the system:
“…lose this round by less than one percent (Gandalf,Aragorn…). Vote people, vote!”
dambeldor can do alot mire the the series shoes. the only reasons ther are no earthquakes and volcanoes are that the seiries itself is on a smaller scale:no gods less wisards and more important to be sure someone is dead then killing a lot of people and that there is sumpely ni need…you kill the leader and the world is yours…
Prophecy and all…
thoes are political groups tnd you cant kill all your folowers.
you can actualy see crab, a STUPID character, uses a magic that kills everything around-one that lterally incinerates all that it touches, inclouding metal, stone and magical barriers until theres nothing left.
the only reson hogworts survives is that it happend in the room of requirement(acts as another dimantion)…
if HE can, what can dumbeldor do?…
but even if dumbeldor IS weaker(thou smarter) on the brouder storyline-its a mach, not a war…
even timetravel, the most powerfull magic our dear raistlin has…
is a simple trick for him!
so in a one to one combat the spell limitation makes a tramemdios impact.
and dumbeldor can read minds…predict everything raistlin does, and block it or run away from it…
summon a dragon? he will tie it or “avada kedavra” it…
a massive trail of fire? he will divert it into a river…
a hurricane? he will move the eye…
and dambeldor can transcribe himself to ascape within the cage…
they are NOT in the abyss!
there is NO great impuct over the world!
at some point raistlin will run out of spells, and dumbeldor will have two words:avada kedavra!
and then thers the eldar wond…
oh and it belongs to death so it HAS a godly power.
it seams that gods in krynn are simpely weak…
(or at least limitd)
the godly powers dosent even belong to him…
maby dumbeldor can find a way to pull them out…
multiple certin-killing will do-or at least separate them from his spirit to a place of uselessness, and magically naming the gods from hwom the powers have bean taken will definitely and permanently pull them out-for ubsobtion or destruction.
if not now,he will surely be losing for ged.
i wish voldemort would have bean the one fighting-Hurcroxes gives the maximum we know about the potterverce.here is someone raistlin can never defeat in a cage…
Of course,it does weaken your soul.
and for the Conclusions:
voldemort was immortal.he was anefeatable.dumbeldore made him die.he planed it all,and so it happened.eve in death he made an impact like non of the living!
he would have found a way.
the godly powers dosent even belong to him…
maby dumbeldor can find a way to pull them out…

Another thing to remember, Raistin would have no moral problem ending it as fast, and dirty as possible. Also, Raistlin could probably manage to muster an army of Gully Dwarves to irritate Dumbledore to death.
Got to agree with the many posters who say raistlin wins this one due to his driven nature.
A second problem I see for Dumbledoor is his age. As we humans age we often gain in the ability to use our reasoning and come to better descisins given enough time. What degrades is our Speed of thought process. The height of our thougt speed comes in our late 20’s to early 30’s and our physical reaction time is near it’s peak then as well.
I see a life or death battle between two supreme mages as a speed chess match, and given near equal eldrich abilities I give the edge to the younger faster man.
not in the potterverce!
in it,age does not reduse the speed…
if you are taking dumbeldore into D&D mechanics,remember-it does increase his knoledge even larger…
stop the moral thing…dumbeldor is no hollyman…
he used people like peons,he planed a battleplan that puts others in certine death, hes cheating, hes vertualy killing everyone including snape without even pulling the triger..
he bunished humself to hogworts thou to this problem…
he is “good”,but in a very ruthless way…
again, about summoning-takes time and energy, and dumbeldor can do this to (imperio would take a dragon down).
and raistlin cant summon them from mere nowher, not incide a cage..
and not without his godly powers that dumbeldore will neutralize…
and he can simpely go from place to place untill raistlin exhausted!
again-you cant know what dumbeldore can do-he did never use his powers!he is afreid of them!
just like if gandalf would actively use narya it will crash his enemies but he will keeps restraining it so he wont fall into darkness-yet,he might…
im sure if something will realy threaten dumbeldore, more than voldemort which he can predict, and force him to-he will do that!
we allready know how his plans are important to him,he KILLED himself for them!
oh and thats what is so good about the personal magic of harry potter,at least wile compared to raistlin impressive and long termed one-raistlin WILL die by a killing curse.small, focused and effective.
raist wont die by a killing curse, he has so much protection spells he wont feel a nuclear blast, even if he had spells per day( which really, never came up) he doesnt need half of them, a meteor shower would end it, so will about 50 other spells raist can cast instantly… 128 year old men arnt known for their agility.
thats why its unforgivable-
if you dont have the match want you sompley CANT block it!
no metter how many protection spells you have…
it might take some time to separate his godley powers from him,one per god,but thats it.
may i remind you the cage?
a distractive force would heart hurt him tooXD
this is no pokemon if i may remind you…
again he can stop him befour he finishes the spell…
hes a mind reader…
and ofcource,in potterverce there are divices and magics thatcontrol tome, much like raislin-he can slow it down and go arrownd i gues…
and he can teleport himself easily.
anyway, the only reason that dambeldor dosent distroy the workd,as i said befour,is becous it wouldnt help him get his goul-he can do the same…
but again-hes not that stupid…
and if you are going to say he creates a forcefiled arrownd himself-at least twice the energy-you can stop a force only by using the oposite vector-twice easier to beat him.
if he casts them only to one diarection-theyre smaller and you can get to his half…
he wull then probabley attack you but ofcource-he allready knows that and blocks(mind again…).
and he would be stuck to his place by the magic, until he is done and as long it is made,so he cant do it unless he gets out of the timeline-a technical fault and one that egain, dumbaldore can commite to.
