I was a lukewarm Jaime supporter in the final match. Neither character really did much for me, but I disliked Jaime the least.
All this whining about cheating from both sides is silly… and everybody needs to let it go.
You simply can’t cheat if there were no rules to begin with.
Winners: be a little more humble.
Losers: be a lot more humble.

first of all Rand didn’t need help in any pre-final round.
I was forced to used this method because ‘the Rand vs Drizzt ’s stupid 4 line write up made many people wanting to vote for Jaime’
That the only reason i joined Face Book to rally the fans ,then GRRM announced trial of seven and then Rand was made to fight 7 vs 1,That i was rallying people al face book , on the second day of polls it was 50-50 and I was sure that SOIAF fons would cheat to bring Jaime up and i was right ,so decided to do what i did .
And i have no regret for it
Because in a game where everybody cheats there is no cheating

And as for myself…I didn’t get how to cheat….technologically inept….

Negative publicity is not the same as Positive publicity (duh). While this tournament generated positive publicity, it also generated negative publicity in the form I’ve mentioned above. There is NO justification for cheating.***
Oh yes….of course…no justification and all that…but you see…..there is….
And that is when the other team is…turnabout is fair play…

It was a good contest though it’s a shame the ASOIAF fans decided to cheat, kind of left a sour taste it the mouth really. But then I suppose it was the only way Jaime has a chance of winning. I think the WOT community did a good job of organising their fans, sending out messages reminding them to vote; it all helped it the end. Clearly it’s the right result based on the characters, but also as this was essetially a popularity vote then it’s the right result it that respect to. Speaking of respect I’ve lost a bit for the ASOIAF fans – not cool, not cool at all.

and, again, if you had read the books, you would understand that that is the least honorable way to meet your toh.
The only real way to meet this is to erase the association of cheating with these two great series. Simplest way to do that is to apologize for cheating. Simple.

First tell me why? Nonprofit venue….proprofit books….flaw in logic. If people are this excited about a POLL then think….just think….of what the reception to the books will be!

If you adore Jaime’s unscrupulous characteristics, but will not bend to use them….and then not acknowledge them…..and then chastise others over them….hmmmmm….morally superior? I don’t think this is something to take away MORALS from….he he….unless that is of course…to forgive and forget…besides when you take two figures of great fantastical literature and put them side by side….you risk the abandonment of scruples and the folks at Suvudu knew it…..

The drunken guest couldn’t shut up. Then he stumbled into Drizzt Do’Urden. He poked a finger at his chest.
“Take that you little pointy eared rodent Keebler Elf! I made sure me and my 200 friends voted against you! They all have 6 ISPS to boot! So Ha Ha!”
Drizzt wondered to himself, “Does he really have 200 friends?” Perhaps it was Artemis Entrieri in disguise. No, he wouldn’t even think such an insult to the man. Drizzt replied,”Rand, Kvothe, and Lannister all fought well. I was honored to get as far as I did.” Time to walk away.
He did come away with something. Could this be coming to his world? Westeros may not be a dying world, but, it was changing. Rand’s world as well faced difficult times with the Final Battle. What Toril had recently faced may only be a beginning. Everyone here had spoken of The Weave. We all have that in common.
There were also many fine people that he had been pleased to make acquaintance. Kahlen, Ged, and Kvothe were all worthy adversaries. Rand? He had gone through so much sacrifice. “We’re on the same side; but, could I just sit in a tavern with him and have a good time?” The dark elf doubted it and felt sad for Al’thior. He had assumed a burden for his world. He raised a toast for the Tourney Champion.

Anyone who cheated to try and win this tournament did a great disservice to the characters and authors they thought they were supporting. By associating These two great series with your cheating, you have forever turned potential fans away from these books. That is no way to honor Robert Jordan, and that is no way to respect George R.R. Martin. If you truly had read the books of either author, you would understand that honor is an integral part of their worlds, and undoubtedly their lives. In the words of the Aiel, you have toh, not to us, your fellow voters, but to the authors whom you continue to insult by flaunting your brazen cheating.

It takes guts to stoop to dirty tactics? No, it takes cowardice to stoop to cheating, because one is too afraid that they will lose if they fight fair. I never said that the WoT fans were the *only* ones cheating, I took offense to the fact that cheaters like you were openly discussing how you cheat the system-and that few people seemed to have the guts to decry your cheating. As for the time the poll closed….really? you think Suvudu was trying to fix the polls? As opposed to a mistake on when to close the polls? Rand was winning at 8 and when the polls closed, I don’t think anyone’s going to contest his victory. I don’t. But people who cheat (and apparently see themselves as morally superior for it) ruin the fun for everything else. “Light-blinded” indeed, you are as hypocritical as a whitecloak.
Next time around I hope Suvudu widens the net a little bit. I would love to see characters from more series. I liked that in the consolation match a fan submission was used for the fight prediction. The wonderful folks at Suvudu don’t seem to have read every series in the competition, and it shows sometimes. drawing from the dedicated fans from each series seems to be a great way to get a more accurate depiction of the characters. Perhaps you could take the best write-ups from each fanbase for a given match to represent how a given side thinks they could win? It was a fun run altogether, despite a few rotten apples. I hope you do another sometime!
