I posted last week that authors Terry Brooks and Brent Weeks met for dinner while Brent was in Seattle on tour for the release of The Black Prism.
Of course, Brent also had an event to visit, fans to meet, and books to sign!
After dinner he traveled to the University Bookstore where he arrived to a packed house. He had family and friends visiting but the vast majority of the crowd were fans who were excited to meet Brent, the man responsible for the Night Angel Trilogy.
Here is a bit about The Black Prism:
Gavin Guile is the Prism, the most powerful man in the world. He is high priest and emperor, a man whose power, wit, and charm are all that preserves a tenuous peace. But Prisms never last, and Guile knows exactly how long he has left to live: Five years to achieve five impossible goals.
But when Guile discovers he has a son, born in a far kingdom after the war that put him in power, he must decide how much he’s willing to pay to protect a secret that could tear his world apart.
Here are videos from the event on August 26th, where Brent talks about what The Black Prism is about by reading a piece he wrote about his brother:

Part III of V: Brent Weeks – Answering Fan Questions

The Black Prism is out and in fine bookstores everywhere. It hit #23 on the New York Times extended list, which is a great feat for a first-time hardcover release! Congratulations, Brent!
