I am totally agreeing with Rasheed. I found the books so profoundly intense, with so much going on and so much that I probably missed; little details that don't seem important at the time, characters that weigh big on the story line but you forget their brief involvement and so on.... At the beginning I found myself flipping back to tie up my loose ends but decided to just enjoy the reading instead and relive the whole story again before the finale. I re-read the first 9 books and have enjoyed them even more so the second time. I have not read The Crippled God yet but I am now ready and will withing the next week.

This series is in a league of its own. Gardens of the moon was great but you cant appreciate the magnitude and depth of the Erikson's work until you have read the other books. They are so deep and dramatic, with characters that come to life and stories that beg to be re-read. I have been waiting for this final installation for a long time and with what the other books give you, there is sure to be NO disappointment!

I have to agree totally. This is the one series that is crying out for a reread. The things I must have missed first time through must be legion.

i suggest shawn reads gardens of the moon again. you are almost certainly going to pick up on something you missed the first time you read it. same thing goes for the other 8!!! there's just too much to take in so i think there's no way you can read each book just once. in my opinion, nothing comes close to what this man's done with this series. NOTHING!! (i'm obviously a big fan..)
