Every Friday, we here @ Del Rey Spectra will place a 50 page excerpt of a selected title on Suvudu. Whether it be science fiction, epic fantasy, alternate history, horror, urban fantasy, paranormal, the possibilities are endless.
Happy Holidays! We’re getting in the spirit of things via a BONUS Wednesday Edition of Del Rey Spectra 50 Page Fridays, featuring a special holiday short story by a new author on the Del Rey roster, Kevin Hearne.
Hearne’s protagonist, the Celtic Druid Atticus O’Sullivan, is a joy to read. Hearne chronicles O’Sullivan’s exploits in the Iron Druid Chronicles, which are due out this spring. FACT 1: these books are awesome. (FACT 2: One of the perks of working here @ DRS is that you get to read things in advance, which is also awesome.) Here’s what Kevin’s editor, Tricia Pasternak, had to say about Kevin, Atticus, this holiday short, and the upcoming series:

CLAN RATHSKELLER by KEVIN HEARNE, Short Story

What a great story! I would love to read the series. Is there any possibility of a UK kindle release?
Hi, Lesley, Kevin here. First, thanks so much for reading and commenting! I’m glad you enjoyed it. Second, the answer *right now* to a UK release is “no,” but that could change tomorrow. All we need is for someone to pick up the UK rights.
Once they do, however, they’re sure to make a kindle version available. That means there’s hope! Cheers, and thanks again, you made my day.
