Back on November 5th, I posted an article about director Christopher Salmon trying to bring Neil Gaiman’s The Price to movie theaters.

It was an easy article to write and support. The story of trying to bring the novella to the silver screen is a unique one because Christopher is attempting to raise enough money to fully fund the project on his own. Neil Gaiman is behind him 110%, lending his voice for the movie. And since I love everything Neil Gaiman, well, supporting Christopher was easy.
Here is a letter I received from Christopher this morning, asking for any additional help Suvudu and our readers could give:
Dear Shawn,
Thank-you so very much for your post regarding my Kickstarter project, Neil Gaiman’s The Price! I was thrilled to see it here, and deeply appreciate the attention it has generated!
I am down to the final 39 hours of my fundraise, and am at 82% of my budget! (As you know, Kickstarter is an all-or-nothing proposition; if I don’t raise the entire amount, no money changes hands.) I was wondering if you might be willing to post some kind of update to help with the final push? I am really hoping to connect with as many people as possible, and to try and get past the obvious (trying to raise funds) to the bigger idea of utilizing social networking to collectively create entertainments that we would really like to enjoy (a notion emphatically eschewed by the current Hollywood mind-share).

Warmest Regards,

Upon looking at the Kickstarter page, it looks like Christopher has made his goal! Very cool! But all movies need a bit more cash to help with unknown quantities that arise and, like any cool pledge drive, the supporters here get very cool things in exchange for their pledge!
So, you a Neil Gaiman fan? Got a few extra dollars to pledge to a very cool project? The Price is certainly that!
Good luck, Christopher!
