I just want to learn the secret to voting more than once without changing IP addresses. I’ll confess, I’m hopeless with anything other than basic computer stuff, but this strange secret is starting to bother me… I remember last cage match you could vote multiple times, but then they implemented this IP thing to avoid such shenanigans. Or so I thought..

you people are all idiots. arguing about who has sold more books, or who has bigger fan bases… and WoT outselling SoT really has nothing to do with sanderson at all. He is simply putting words to paper for another. All this arguing about who is better is idiocy, plain and simple. If you were to take the books away from the genre, and read them for simple pure entertainment, you’ll surely find that they are all great books, written by people who are passionate about the words they put into them. Get over yourselves and quit prattling like a gaggle of school girls.

Brandon Sanderson is far more in touch with his readers than Goodkind. He participates actively in Social media, so he is able to point his fans to this site, while Goodkind doesn’t give a shit. It doesn’t matter who has sold more books, Sanderson has more fans, due to both Mistborn *and* the Wheel of Time.

And the Wheel of Time *has* outsold the Sword of Truth, twice over.

First–Vin has over 1,000 votes more than Zedd. Who cares if somebody put 1,000 votes in. 2nd, the poll records your I.P. as a vote, so for somebody to vote 1,000 times, they would have to grab a new I.P. for each vote and reload the page. Try voting multiple times in a row by just refreshing the browser page, the top of the poll says: “Thanks for voting, but we’ve already recorded your vote.”

Finally, Brandon Sanderson is a much better author than Terry Goodkind. Goodkind has sold more, however, that is only because he’s been published since Brandon was in middle school. Twenty years from now when Sanderson has six books from WoK out, people will scoff at Goodkinds SoT series.

Oh, wait, they already do.

Sales don’t necessarily mean it’s a good series. Look at Twilight. Are you going to claim that Meyer is a good writer?
