I love early spring. Publishers don’t often send authors out on the road during the winter months. But once the holiday credit card hangover begins to wain, March usually sees a great many authors hit the road for their new books.
Which always makes me happy.
Patricia Briggs is one of those authors. She came to Seattle, WA last week in promotion for her new Mercy Thompson novel, River Marked. As usual, Patti was great fun. She read a small spoiler-free excerpt from River Marked, took questions from her large audience, and then turned her efforts to signing books.
Don’t know about River Marked? Here is a small synopsis:
Car mechanic Mercy Thompson has always known there was something different about her, and not just the way she can make a VW engine sit up and beg. Mercy is a shapeshifter, a talent she inherited from her long-gone father. She’s never known any others of her kind. Until now.
An evil is stirring in the depths of the Columbia River-one that her father’s people may know something about. And to have any hope of surviving, Mercy and her mate, the Alpha werewolf Adam, will need their help…
Want to find out what Patti has planned for Mercy and the other series she writes in? Or why Mercy’s tattoos change with every book cover that artist Dan Dos Santos creates? Here is the promised video of Patti at the University Bookstore:
River Marked by Patricia Briggs, which hit #3 on the New York Times Hardcover Fiction bestselling list last week, is in fine bookstores now!
