I’ve known bestselling author Terry Brooks for 11 years as his webmaster.
Therefore, I am a bit biased, and when I get an opportunity to help spread the word about his work, I do it.
Thankfully someone else shares that sentiment. Author Peter Orullian, whose debut novel, The Unremembered, publishes on April 12th, decided to ask if he could interview Terry. I thought it a perfect pairing. Both write epic fantasy; both have strong opinions.
I invited them both to my home for the discussion. Here is what Peter had to say about Terry:
Peter Orullian: “Some fantasy writers need no introduction. Terry Brooks is one of them. His Shannara series books have hit the New York Times bestseller list practically more times than you can count. His work has been instrumental to a generation of young fantasy writers; I am no exception. His work was early inspiration to me and helped put me on a writing path that would lead me ultimately to my own first published novel, The Unremembered. I got the chance to chat with Terry on a whole range of topics. Below is the first installment of that discussion. Enjoy!”
There will be two more parts to this interview, coming in the next two weeks more than likely. Be on the look out. I’ll be posting it!
