Cage Match: To the victor go the spoils [VIDEO]

Happy Cage Match to all, and thanks to everyone for participating. We hope you’ve discovered a new favorite author or story in the midst of all this fantfight chaos, and please feel free to send us flames/kisses/feedback in the “Who’d we miss?” forums.

But oh, Cage Match isn’t over just yet. Now that the winner has been crowned (Congratulations, Quick Ben!), it’s time for Joe and David, your favorite Cage Match Commentators, to give us their two cents on the final match.

And c’mon–don’t tell me you won’t miss the sports references.

  1. Jaiden says:

Why wait till 2012, its not as though you really lack Fantasy book characters

  2. Jaiden says:

plus get Annomander Rake ( is there a cooler name ) in there, his character is seriously made fore this shit, just read the end of the 1st, 3rd and 8th books in Malazan book of the fallen, i mean just consider the bracket and you will see that any of the numerous characters in these books such as Silchas Ruin ( a name almost as cool as his brothers….) , i mean if Quick Ben can claim ass then im sure that: karsa, Rake, Osric, Dessembrae (yeah… dessembrea), WhiskeyJack, Seguleh, DRACONIS (
piss) and numerous charracters could in general can take the suvudu cage match bracket,

I would also like too include Kylar Stern etc from more recent books

  3. Jaiden says:

Your comment system is weird i cant seem to view any comments only write them?

  4. Cymric says:

How about a side kicks cage match?? have the secondary characters shine in there own right

  5. Audio? says:

seriously guys, work on that audio. a little better, but still low quality

  6. Cornwallis says:

Just so you dudes know, it’s a bit difficult to actually -find- your forums.

  7. Clavicle says:

If you’re considering a tweak to the format, might I suggest tag teams?

    Flint and Tanis from Dragonlance
    Moiraine and Lan from WoT
Mach and Bane from Apprencie Adept
    Peregrin and Fortunato?
    Fafhrd and the Grey Mouser!

  8. Urthor says:

wow those are great ideas I am jealous

  9. Barryl says:

Heh tag teams is a great idea.

Fiddler and Dead Hedge = Domination

  10. Fiddler says:

If Fiddler and Hedge were to tag team the cage match you can be sure they’d win the first round, but they’d probably blow themselves up in the process.

  11. comment man 1 says:

I started reading ASoIaF because of this, read a game of thrones so far and its AWESOME!

  12. jason says:

how about gothmog(balrog) and gothmog(of the third age) from the Tolkien?? :=)

  13. Mcphattus says:

I really want to see Matt from Wheel of Time and Darth Bane in these matches. I think that both of them would go to town in this. Also Richard Rahl from the sword of truth should be given a chance.

  14. TRH says:

Jon-Tom from Alan Dean Foster’s Spellsinger.

Would be nothing but fun to have him in the 2012 bracket.

  15. Njaak says:

As far as individuals OR tag teams go, I’d love to see The Weaver & MontJohn Rescue from Mieville’s Perdido Street Station. They’re unpredictable, powerful and novel.

  16. Gyro says:

Kyler Stern! and throw Drizzt back in! :)

  17. David says:

Belgarion and/or Sparhawk have yet to make an appearance.

  18. Abhi says:

Let’s please have Anasurimbor Kellhus next time……a more awesome hero you can’t find……

  19. Jwlynas says:

    One idea and one alone.

Two tournaments. Spell-user and fighters. No-one is at all surprised when a hugely powerful wizard beats a warrior, regardless of the warriors strength. Magic users only die t magic users and massive plot armour.

Plus, it gives us all the joy of watching twice as much carnage!
