Many fans don’t have the chance to meet their favorite authors when they go on tour. After all, there are thousands of cities an author cannot visit. It’s one of the hardships of being a writer.
Jacqueline Carey has a wonderfully invested fan base. They follow her at her website. They follow her on Twitter. They follow her on Facebook. And when she tours, hundreds of fans come out for each event. That doesn’t help those fans who do not have the means or money to make long journeys to meet their favorite author. Jacqueline knows this. Therefore she has asked that I post this event video—from her tour in support of Naamah’s Blessing—in hopes of helping to bridge that gap between author and fan:

The video is 38 minutes long. The first part is Jacqueline reading from her forthcoming 2012 urban fantasy very tentatively titled Siren’s Summer (the title will likely change but I happen to like it). The rest of the video is the bestselling author answering questions from the massive audience who came out last night.
