Then Terry hit the road to meet his fans at DragonCon and in the US South / New England states.
Tours are good and bad things for authors. Meeting fans is important and supporting the release of a new book is equally important, but tours are tiring. A new city every day. Food on the go. The rigamorale of airports, town cars, strange drivers, and unfamiliar territory. It can be arduous. That said, it can be very rewarding and, after talked to Terry this afternoon, the tour he just returned from was one of his favorites despite the hardships.
Once at a bookstore though, authors are ready to read excerpts, meet their fans, and sign books. But my favorite thing has always been the author Q&A, where the writer will answer questions from the audience. I’ve been Terry’s webmaster for more than a decade now but there are still questions I have never heard asked—and answers I’ve never heard Terry give.
