I’ve read a lot of science fiction anthologies, but not fantasy ones. I’d include George R R Martin and Brian Stableford but I’m not sure who else.

I think your anthology sounds wonderful on many levels – just for existing and the reason for its existence.

As a fan of both Horror & Fantasy (which I have always thought had more in common than SF/F), I’d like to see these two genres merge, instead of the usual Fantasy/Science Fiction theme. An anthology that celebrates the monsters/magic/macabre nature the two genres share.

That said, my dream line-up would be (choosing 15 authors):

Warren Ellis
Joe Hill
Dan Simmons
Robin Hobb
Tad Williams
George R.R. Martin
Neil Gaiman

Sounds like a great idea! My dream anthalogy would be: Terry Brooks, Terry Goodkind, Tad Williams, Orson Scott Card, Naomi Novik, Brandon Sanderson, George R.R. Martin, Christopher Paolinin, Brent Weeks, and You!

I second Magda. While on the surface it may sound a bit presumptious to include yourself in an anthology witht the likes of TB and others, it’ll help us all get to know you and your writing a little bit better.

That is wonderful Shawn! I love hearing that there are still good people in the world! (Makes genesis of shannara that much more fantasy than reality)

I hope you wrote something for the anthology as well! i enjoyed song of the fell hammer and can’t wait to add you to my favorite authors!
