a-dance-with-dragons-cover-568x863The internet(s) gives and gives and gives.

There are some great sci-fi/fantasy bloggers out there, fans who are devoting a lot of time and energy into supporting authors and their readers. Variety is the spice of life, as they say, and with the menagerie of unique and very different individuals out there contributing, it produces a whole that is better than its parts.

Last week, Suvudu posted the First 50 Pages of Magic Kingdom For Sale–Sold! by Terry Brooks. Matt Staggs and Shawn Speakman continued counting down the Best of 2011 in books. That’s not all though. Matt Staggs posted New D&D Books, and Darth Duff posted the cover for Star Wars: X-Wing: Mercy Kill.

In other areas of the professional internet(s), Tor.com posted Justin Bieber Going Steampunk, Pyr Books posted Pyr’s Best SFF Press for eBooks, and Orbit Books features the cover for Jon Courtenay Grimwood’s The Fallen Blade!

Here are some of the blogging highlights I found outside of Suvudu week ending 12/10/11:

  • Free Readin’: Prologue to Eye of the World, posted by A Dribble of Ink
  • Comment: Goodreads Choice Awards Fantasy Winner, posted by A Fantasy Reader
  • Comment: Goodreads Choice Awards Winners & Reviews, posted by Fantasy Book Critic
  • Review: Murder in the Minster by Susanna Gregory, read by Fantasy Book Review
  • Review: The Dervish House by Ian McDonald, read by Fantasy Literature
  • Review: The Alloy of Law by Brandon Sanderson, read by Graeme’s Fantasy Book Review
  • Review: The Shard Axe by Marsheila Rockwell, read by Grasping For the Wind
  • Movie News: How to Live Safely In a Science Fictional Universe by Charles Yu, posted by The Mad Hatter’s Bookshelf
  • Comment: Alan Moore vs. Frank Miller, posted by Pat’s Fantasy Hotlist
  • Review: Captain Nemo by Kevin J. Anderson, read by Sci-Fi Chick
  • Comment: More Info on Game of Thrones RPG, posted by Wertzone

I highly recommend all Suvudu readers to visit these fine examples of sci-fi / fantasy blog work! Get involved, post your thoughts, and enjoy what else is out there!

And feel free to talk about it or anything else on our Forum here!

Till next week…
