Courtesy of an astute reader at Winter is Coming, a popular Game of Thrones fan site, we have an unofficial glimpse at the filming of Game of Thrones season two in Dubrovnik, Croatia. The first video shows the Hound battling an unnamed soldier, and a second is a mob scene that shows the King, surrounded by his Kingsguard, navigating their way through an unruly crowd. Keeping in theme with yesterday’s In Production video featuring the Dubrovnik locations, two YouTube videos from the shoot in Croatia have been uncovered by Abyss, one of our commenters. Since several of the sets in Dubrovnik were openly accessible by virtue of necessity, photos and videos from and around the town are not that uncommon.
Dubrovnik is a beautiful city with a wonderful old soul, and it’s great to see it get such exposure through the show. I can’t wait to see these scenes come to life when season two airs this spring! The first episode is set to debut on April 1st, 2012, just a couple of months away.
