Sunday Is Coming: HBO’s Game of Thrones Season 2

Winter is Coming! On Sunday!

The Season 2 premiere of HBO’s Game of Thrones arrives Sunday, April 1! No, this is not an April Fool’s joke. The show that captivated audiences last year and helped Peter Dinklage with an Emmy for his portrayal of the imp Tyrion Lannister begins its new season adapting A Clash of Kings by George R. R. Martin.

For those who may have forgotten the key story elements of Season 1, here is a 22-minute video recap bringing people back up to speed before April 1st arrives:

The video above features a great deal of inside information from the actors themselves as well as scenes from the upcoming season. HBO has done a fantastic job of marketing the series as well as adapting it thus far. I am really looking forward to Season 2. The first half of the story will build into the second half—and that second half is some of the best fantasy ever written. And now we get to watch it.

Then we will have to wait for Season 3 and the adaptation of arguably one of the best books ever written, A Storm of Swords

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

Game of Thrones: Season 2 premieres April 1!

Sunday is coming…

Who cares.. I started out reading this series, and by the middle of the second book, 80% were dead! What the hell??? What is the point of character development if you’re going to kill them off immediately?? I decided to not wast my time.

    Sorry for the RANT.

Books are much more boring. In most cases books are more captivating, but in case of this series you’ll get bored by the time you reach half of Book 1. I’ve actually watched all the episodes of Season 1 in one day, thats how much it captivated me. I tried to read the book, it was very very boring.
