The Curiosity Landing: Memes Rule Mars

curiosityrover

The Curiosity rover landing on Mars two nights ago is a fantastic achievement.

And not only for NASA.

While Curiosity landing on the red planet showcases the passion and scientific abilities of humanity—and what happens when we work together instead of pulling one another apart—there are a great many people who love such media-frenzied events:

Meme Builders.

That’s right. Events like the landing on Mars gives new fodder for these hilarious souls who are likely at work getting paid for not doing their job but having Photoshop on their computers. The moment Curiosity landed, I could hear people launching their Adobe products in hopes of bringing a little joy to people’s lives the next day.

And they did. Yesterday morning, I was overwhelmed with memes of all types and sizes. Aliens. Cartoons. Cable repairmen? It’s all quite funny. I hope to pass some of that on in this post. I have no doubt that I’ve overlooked dozens and dozens of them, but these are the Curiosity memes that I’ve seen floating around Facebook the last two days!

Enjoy!
