Sneak Peek at Doctor Who: New Adventures Await

doctor-who-main-embed“Doctor Who,” for those of you who have been living under a rock, is the spectacular series from the BBC starring Matt Smith and Jenna-Louise Coleman, and has garnered legions of fans and countless awards. The Doctor, who is on his eleventh carnation portrayed by Smith, is an eons-old alien. He travels through time, stopping only when he is critically injured, at which point he regenerates his body, thereby gaining a new physical appearance and personality. The Doctor’s adventures are as addictive via the written word as they are on the small screen. For a look at a few of his new adventures from the forthcoming books, check out the experts below from Doctor Who: Plague of the Cybermen, Doctor Who: The Dalek Generation, and Doctor Who: Shroud of Sorrow.

Also, be sure to check out a note from the editor of Doctor Who, a very British take on “Doctor Who,” and ten “Doctor Who” facts every newcomer needs to know.

I saw the cover art for the cyberman “book” above, in a dream vision thing, a couple years ago. Thought it weird for him to be wearing an outfit that was like a punk-academic.

Why did you put book in quotes?

  4. David Greybeard says:

Bought all 3 but I HATE THE NEW FORMAT. Why are these not like those marvelous little hardcovers that proceeded these?

  5. I think it time for a new Doctor this one too much of a greek

  6. Janet says:

I’m guessing you mean incarnation, not carnation… And Johnny, I love the geeky version of the Doctor!

  7. Heather Heslip Alexander says:

I love Dr. Who and I love Torchwood. Although Torchwood is no longer on BBC, it was picked up by Starz for one season, have you heard whether there is any chance of it making a comeback as well?

  8. BCO says:

I wish they would go back in time and explain more about the time-lords early and last days. I even have tried to p[ut it together with the old episodes – but it isn’t easy. Great store opportunities!!!

  9. Zalia says:

I don’t know whym but I coulnd’t read the portion taken from the third book. Plus, in the second book’s portion, the “f”s were tiny, making it difficult to read, and “t”s were entirely gone.
