Brent has been hard at work on this third book in the Lightbringer series. He had to finish the book before the arrival of his first child. He did that, and now it is time to edit the book and get it onto store shelves next year. The Broken Eye follows The Black Prism and The Blinding Knife.
I have to say, I love this cover!
The magic system in this series is unique and colors play a huge role in that. The covers have reflected this and I especially love the green and yellows for The Broken Eye cover. When I think of a ‘broken eye,’ I think of a sickness. A lasting bruise. The greens and yellows make that work. And since I believe this is the third book in a four-book set, you can bet there will be some serious damage going on.
Yes, it has a hooded figure. So what. It’s a beautiful cover. And since fan reaction to it has been exceedingly positive, hoods will stay around until they stop selling.

The colors will merge to white…
