abercrombie-halfThe internet(s) gives and gives and gives.

There are some great sci-fi/fantasy bloggers out there, fans who are devoting a lot of time and energy into supporting authors and their readers. Variety is the spice of life, as they say, and with the menagerie of unique and very different individuals out there contributing, it produces a whole that is better than its parts.

Last week, Suvudu featured the First 50 Pages of Transformers: Retribution by Dave Williams & Mark Williams. Thalia Sutton featured the January 2014 New Manga Releases. Matt Staggs posted an excerpt from Ex-Purgatory by Peter Cline, as well as Took Five with Snorri Krisjansson, author of Swords of Good Men! Eric Geller featured the newest Star Wars HoloNet Digest. And I posted a new Ask Terry Brooks!

In other areas of the professional internet(s), Tor.com features a guest post by Alex Bledsoe, Pyr Books revealed their writers’ favorite books of 2013, and Orbit Books posted 5 Things You Didn’t Know About Shannara!

Here are some of the blogging highlights I found outside of Suvudu week ending 1/11/14:

  • Excerpt: Words of Radiance by Brandon Sanderson, posted by A Dribble of Ink
  • Excerpt: Half a King by Joe Abercrombie, posted by A Fantasy Reader
  • Giveaway: Baskerville Affair trilogy by Emma Jane Holloway, given by Fantasy Book Critic
  • Comment: 2014 Forthcoming Books, posted by Fantasy Literature
  • Review: Dreamwalker by C.S. Friedman, read by Pat’s Fantasy Hotlist
  • Review: Cold Spell by Jackson Pearce, read by Sci-Fi Chick
  • Interview: Alma Katsu, posted by SF Signal
  • Trailer: Game of Thrones: Season 4, poated by Wertzone

I highly recommend all Suvudu readers to visit these fine examples of sci-fi / fantasy blog work! Get involved, post your thoughts, and enjoy what else is out there!

And feel free to talk about it or anything else on our Forum here!

Till next week…
