lawrence-princeoffoolsThe internet(s) gives and gives and gives.

There are some great sci-fi/fantasy bloggers out there, fans who are devoting a lot of time and energy into supporting authors and their readers. Variety is the spice of life, as they say, and with the menagerie of unique and very different individuals out there contributing, it produces a whole that is better than its parts.

Last week, Suvudu featured the First 50 Pages of The Darwin Elevator by Jason Hough. Matt Albrecht posted the Cage Match 2014 Minecraft Replay Final Round: Leia vs Leia, while author Lev Grossman contributed a fantastic look at how the final battle would go. Matt Staggs pontificated on the news that Han Solo will be playing a much larger role in Episode VII than originally thought. Matt also posted the 2014 Locus Awards Finalists! Eric Geller featured the newest Star Wars HoloNet Digest. And I wrote about a new anthology, titled Altered Perceptions, that will feature cut chapters from The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson to help end the medical debt for author Robinson Wells, as well as posted the final cover for The World of Ice & Fire by George R. R. Martin!

In other areas of the professional internet(s), Tor.com announced the 2014 Spectrum Art Awards Winners, Pyr Books turned 9 Years Old, and Orbit Books gave author Brian McClellan a guest post spot for his new novel, The Crimson Campaign!

Here are some of the blogging highlights I found outside of Suvudu week ending 5/10/14:

  • Cover: The World of Ice & Fire by George R. R. Martin, posted by A Dribble of Ink
  • Comment: May Releases, posted by A Fantasy Reader
  • Comment: Upcoming Releases, posted by Fantasy Book Critic
  • Review: Dreamwalker by C.S. Friedman, read by Fantasy Literature
  • Review: Prince of Fools by Mark Lawrence, read by Pat’s Fantasy Hotlist
  • Giveaway: Prince of Fools by Mark Lawrence, posted by Sci-Fi Chick
  • Cover: The Doubt Factory by Paolo Bacigalupi, posted by SF Signal
  • Adaptation News: Thirteen by Richard Morgan, posted by Wertzone

I highly recommend all Suvudu readers to visit these fine examples of sci-fi / fantasy blog work! Get involved, post your thoughts, and enjoy what else is out there!

And feel free to talk about it or anything else on our Forum here!

Till next week…
